The SmartShutter dongle is used for wireless remote triggering of Canon cameras with the SmartShutter app on your smartphone. The dongle is supplied with a connector cable for Canon RS-60E3 connection system, which is simply plugged into the camera. The connection between the dongle and the app is established via Bluetooth 4.0 and thus offers a particularly wide range.
Free SmartShutter remote-control release app for iOS devices
Use your iOS device to wirelessly trigger your camera with the free ES-898 in many ways. These include Manual Shot, Timer Shot and Scheduled Timer Remote. The DELAY time, BULB time and INTERVAL time can all be set from anywhere to 99hrs 59min 59s 900ms. The number of exposures can be set from 1 to 999 shots or infinite. The unique scheduled timer remote mode allows you set six different timer exposure plans to meet your needs.
All functions can be used either with manual or automatic autofocus, also running completely in the background of the device. It is therefore possible during timelapse exposure to use other apps on your iOS device, listen to music or even make a phone call. The Easyswitch app can be downloaded in the Apple App Store for free. An Android version is currently not available.

The ES-898 is equipped with the latest Bluetooth 4.0 (Low Energy) technology which offers lower power consumption and greater range. The remote triggering of the camera with a range of up to 50 meters allows various photographic applications.
