  • Great kit for I.T. guys or for simple DIY projects
By Tessa on 09 June 2016

I'm in the I.T. field and do lots of simple mechanical work every day - installing and removing rack-mounted equipment, cutting and stripping and splicing wire, etc. and this is a GREAT field kit. I've added a few things like an Ethernet crimper and punch-down tool, a stubby screw driver for tight spaces, a small inspection mirror, etc. but this is my daily go-to kit that I keep in my laptop bag.

  • Versatile toolset for a good price
By betazed on 29 May 2017

Almost overkill! I haven't even had cause to use everything in it yet, but it has been a godsend for my new job at an MSP where I'm sometimes tasked with taking computers apart on site and at the office. The ratcheting screwdriver is particularly good, and the telescoping magnetic screw-grabber has proven useful more than once. A must have for any computer technician at a great price.

  • You get what you pay for
By Michael and Julie on 18 October 2015

The high ratings this set has received from some people will probably get your hopes up, but ... you get what you pay for. The quality of the tools is fair. The quality of the case is poor. As with every set of tools-in-a-case I've ever bought, you will find the inability of the case to properly hold the tools frustrating every time you open it up. If you just need some tools "for now" and plan to upgrade as you go along, this is not the worst investment you could make. You should probably plan on replacing the case in the short term, however, and replacing the tools in the medium to long term.

  • Great economic toolkit for beginners
By Mike Fasnacht on 29 May 2018

Great kit for someone new to computer or electronic repair, but the tool quality is fairly low they won't last constant use and the wire stripper specifically is kind of garbage, regardless for the price you can't get any better than this, I would reccomend this to anyone who likes doing their own repair work or is new to the industry, just to get them started.

  • Syba 145-Piece Computer Tool Kit
By Steve Pringle on 29 April 2013

    April 29, 2013
The Syba 145-Piece Computer Tool Kit is a great. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived on a Saturday via USPS Priority Mail. I was very surprised to see how bright the (black not red as pictured) flashlight beam was when I turned it on to look inside an HP LaserJet 4050T printer that was having a paper jam. The vacuum (black and not white) that is included looks nothing like the image shown and should have been a dark color to protect from ink stains from printers.

If you plan to use the vacuum and the flashlight at the same time like I do, you will need to have 2 additional AA batteries to power the other device as only 2 AA are included in the set. Keep in mind that the additional batteries will add weight to your kit. When both vacuum and flashlight are loaded with their batteries, it leaves an open slot in your kit for 2 AA batteries which you can use to keep additional backup batteries.

For some reason, the pliers won't stay in place anymore so I have to check to make sure it is in the case before packing up for the day.

The second locking clips finally broke off so now I am using Velcro/twist tie to keep it.
